Where is Libhttpd.so in Apache2???

Post by Eletroni » Wed, 14 Aug 2002 01:20:54

Hi all.

I am trying to create a dso using kylix 2.

Kylix gives me a warning saying "libhttpd.so not found", and i don't
have this file at my hd.

Apache 1 came with this file, but 2 no.

I also downloaded apache 2.0.39 and installed with option
--enable-so,but didn't work.

If you have a hint or any kind of help, please post it.

Thanks.

1. Linking libhttpd.so for modules...

Quick question...

When linking modules in like mod_rewrite.so, do we link libhttpd.so in
as well?  The problem is that with configuring apache1.3.4 with the
options
"--enable-module=so --enable-module=rewrite --enable-shared=rewrite"
is giving the error:

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 202 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_rewrite.so into server:
ld.so.1: /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file
/usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_rewrite.so: symbol ap_user_id: referenced
symbol not found
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
#

How do I resolve this unreferenced symbol?
