sh shell ifs.

        Does anyone know how to make sh shell if statements,

Thanks,

1. IFS in ksh and sh

The following command sequence:

IFS=,
set a,b,c,d
echo $1

gives :
a b c d
with /bin/ksh

but
a
with /bin/sh

My understanding of the manual leads me to expect the latter behaviour. Can
someone explain what ksh is doing?
