Can anyone recommend any good books on Bourne Shell programming.

A book that I got recently and that I really love is:

Portable Shell Programming: A collection of Bourne Shell Examples
Bruce Blinn
Prentice Hall Books, 1996
ISBN 0-13-451494-7

Contrary to the title, it is only about half examples, the rest
is a thorough explanation of scripting and a reference section.

Try the O' Reilly & Assoc book

"Learning the BASH Shell" by Cameron Newham & Bill Rosenblatt.

1st Edition, October 95

A Nutshell Handbook

ISBN: 1-56592-147-X

Although it's a BASH book, it's probably about 90% relevent to sh
