HELP: no CBREAK mode after save.

HELP: no CBREAK mode after save.

Here is a problem I asked awhile back.
Nobody answered.
Maybe I'm just out of luck for now.
It may involve shell scripts so I thought I'ld
cross post it to: comp.unix.shell

When saving articles, nn allows you to pipe to
a process.

My favorite comm package is Columbia U's
kermit. Unfortunately kerit sets and resets
the login tty's CBREAK mode.

So if I use the following to save an atricle
and immeadiately transfer it:

  "| kermit -v 5 -s -"

the now unset CBREAK mode makes nn work
poorly.

Is there either a way to armour this with some
shell commands so kermit wont screwup nn
when returning?

OR

Is there a patch available for nn that will
make nn set CBREAK mode upon return from a
save?
