1. Backup script sco 506 / using find command

Hello,

Who can help me?

I'm trying to make one backup script to install on different servers.
the directories to backup are sometimes different on each server.
sometimes it is /appl/smcbasic/DATA/files
or sometimes it is /usr/lib/basic/DATA/files
or sometimes /usr/lib/basic8/DATA/files
How can i make a script searching where the basic/DATA is ,
and make a backup with cpio of it.
Sometimes both directories excist.
the old one is for example /appl/smcbasic
and the new directory is /usr/lib/basic.
I want to make a backup of the new directory only.
manual renaming the old directories is no option,
because i have install the new script on about 150 SCO servers

The second question is:
how can i make a script renaming the old directories if excisting,
and a script for rolling out the new backup script, by distributing on
cd-rom or floppy?

If you are a real guru making this kind of script please contact me in a
reply.
