Restarting demons - part III

Hi,

I'm still looking for some help with a script that automattically restart a
demon
(in this case msql2).
I think something like this should be possible (somehow ;-))

start:
msql2d & || get pid && GoTo start:
while pid == runing
    sleep 5
wend
goto start:

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

why not have a script (which runs in the background) thus:

#! /bin/sh
while :                               # loop forever
do
     msql2d                        # note run in foreground
done
