TCSH - arrow keys don't work

TCSH - arrow keys don't work

Post by Chris V » Tue, 25 Feb 1997 04:00:00

Sorry to bug everyone again; I was able to compile TCSH, but I can't
seem to get the arrow keys to function as they are supposed to:
moving up and down the history list...
Could somebody tell me why?
my TERMCAP is as follows:
TERMCAP=sun-cmd:te=\E[>4h:ti=\E[>4l:tc=sun:
and TERM=sun-cmd

Regards,

1. Arrow keys in tcsh don't work

Hello

I have a problem with the arrow keys on the console. It is
not possible to scroll through the command history using the
up-arrow.

Though under certain conditions it works. When running under
X no problem, I guess that's  because X takes care of the
keyboard itself. When scrolling man pages, the arrow keys
work. When using bash they work as well.

I am running RedHat 6.0 which I updated from 5.2. Any idea
what's the problem?

Thank you very much,

Tobias
