I feel certain this is an FAQ, but I can't find an FAQ.

My tcsh won't expand wildcard characters.

tcsh> echo *
*
tcsh>

Can someone point me in the right direction?

My guess is tcsh 6.04:

In the "Fixes" file:

I got the same thing when I tried it.  You are using the ANSI compiler, yes?
Installing patch PHSS_2653 fixes cc so that tcsh works properly (and many
other problems as well).  This may have been announced over on comp.sys.hp at
some time.
