Help Needed to Reformat a File

Post by Lucient Ch » Sun, 13 Aug 1995 04:00:00

Hi,

I need to reformat the following ouput.  In short, I
want to have all the numbers remain on the first line,
and rest of the message starting on the second line. I
also don't want to have more than 80 char. each line
for the message. Is there an easy way to do it????

Email or post.  Thanks much in advance.

Example of original file (4 lines only) :

1. xemacs help needed (reformatted)!

(there were some weird characters in my previous post that may have
prevented it from being displayed properly, so I'm reposting)

I'm using X11R6 with fvwm.
I downloaded xemacs-19.11 (the full distribution) and built it like this:
1. ./configure i386-linux (or something to that effect)
2. make (built with no errors, looks like it builds with XPM)
3. make install (didn't seem to have any major problems, but may have
had some conflicts with existing emacs stuff living in the
        destination directories).

So then after doing this, I try to run it, and I get these errors:
What am I doing wrong?
