first an short summery:
I have installed the y2k-patches on some older AIX 220.127.116.11 Maschines
yesterday, and now - after a reboot - only 2 users (and root) are able
to login per Maschine from a remote host
catsgi4:/etc $> rlogin snoopy
3004-312 All available login sessions are in use.
and smitty has ander "System Environments" a new Entry:
Manage AIX Floating User Licenses for this Server
=> Register Floating User Licences
=> Change the Number of Installed Floating User Licenses
In an original AIX 18.104.22.168 - Installation is no such Point !?
in /etc/security/login.cfg maxlogins=50 -that should be enough.
Whats to do?
rshd ignores /etc/hosts.equiv (= known bug -> IX88593: RSHD DOES NOT
READ IN /ETC/HOSTS.EQUIV CORRECTLY ) but the installed patches dosn't
solved the problem.
I haved installed the following pakets:
(the other recommended pakets came with the y2k files)
the error-messages looks like:
catsgi4:/etc $> rsh snoopy /usr/local/outils/rl catfem
rshd: 0826-813 Permission is denied.
rsh: connection failed
Thanks for every little help
