What command can I use to see how much space is free vs. how much space has
been used on our server. We're running AIX 4.2.

If you execute :
place -v -f /dev/lvxx
the output will show how used blocks versus free blocks are spread across the
filesystem. It will also
provide you with fragmentation information.

1. Strange disk free space/used space...
Hi,
I seem to have lost a lot of disk space to no idea what: for example /boot
shows 25MB used, but when all files are listed the total is just 19MB;
/home - 500MB/362MB; /var - 600MB/417MB.
Any idea what is causing this, and how to rectify the problem.
