Which is the real 4.3.3.0 maint level 04?

If one is using fixdist (with a database refreshed as of today), and
downloads:

        - from the first menu "Base Maintenance Levels", AIX 4330-04
Recommended Maintenance for AIX 433

        - from the first menu "Generally Available Fixes", APAR IY11202 ("AIX
4330-04 recommended maintenance for aix 4.3"), selecting 4.3.3.0.03 as
the current AIX level,

you get two different sets of updates to install.

For example: for the fileset bos.up, the APAR version downloads

4.3.3.(14,15,16, and 21; so 21 is the highest level)

while the Base Maintenance Level only downloads 4.3.3.15.

Which one is right?  If someone asks "are you at maintenance level
04?",  they're thinking that (for example) bos.up is at a certain level,
and you may have a different one.

If you select APAR IY11202, and tell fixdist that you're at level
4.3.3.0.04, it still wants to download 60MB of updates (probably the
difference between the sets listed above).

Will the real ML-04 please stand up?

AFAIK, fixdist and other related tools will download the latest released
version which includes that APAR.  So if the APAR was fixed in .5, and you
download by APAR, and .7 has been released, it will download .7 .

All this because it was assumed that the problem is still fixed, and sometime
you might run into the other problems that were fixed in .6 and .7, so you
might as well download them now.
