lpstat returns status of "QSTATUS" instead of READY on remote queue, Why?

On a 3.2.5 system, lpstat returns status of a remote queue (on MVS) as
QSTATUS on all MVS queues rather than READY as it does for the same remote
queues on our other 3.2.5 systems.  Print  seems to go through OK,  I just
wonder why the difference.  Would appreciate any ideas.

qstatus runs rembak -q (or something like that to get status from
remote systems)  this command is probably* when talking to
mvs
