crontab - Help!!

Post by Tony Ever » Tue, 17 Dec 1996 04:00:00

I'm trying to use crontab -e to edit my crontab file on my internet
server.  I get this error: bad minute, errors in crontab file, can't
install.  I'm using vi to edit the file and trying to set it up to run
analog.  The vi file runs onto multiple lines and that's what causes
this error (because line 2 is a continuation of line 1 and doesn't have
a minute hour day month yr command).  Is there a way to put the entire
command on one line (I'm using ewan to edit the file and it auto jumps
to line 2)?
