Yes, it's possible.  I've done two weeks ago.
A plain vanilla Exabyte 8200 (taken from a Sun SLC) and the new
220.  They worked really fine.

BTW, the 220 has a 160Mb disk, so I managed a "remote \usr"
installation.  Wow, is was *fast*! :-)
