Kermit for AIX3

Kermit for AIX3

Post by Dave Clo » Fri, 21 Dec 1990 08:50:48

Has anyone ported Kermit (C-Kermit, I assume) to AIX3?  Is anyone working
on it?  The latest version I have, 4E-72, is nearly two years old and makes
no mention of AIX.  Though I can make it compile, it hangs when it tries
to access the port, sometimes even* the port until the next reboot.

A lot of old question recurring this week... IBM must have gotten a
big shipment out the door or something.  Anyway, get the latest
distribution by anonymous FTP from watsun.cc.columbia.edu. It
reportedly has builtin AIX 3.1 support or atleast compile
directions...

We're looking for a Kermit that works under AIX3 too.  Please post.

Sigh... Any anonymous uucp?  Does Columbia have it yet?  Stuck in the
land of dialup. :-)

1. What's difference between AIX3.1 and AIX3.2?

Hello, Netters.

I use AIX3.1.6 on RS/6000 530H, and Sybase4.0.1. I develop
financial application (C & SQL) programs, and manage some systems
in Tokyo, Japan.

Now, I attempt to grade up from AIX3.1.6 to AIX3.2.2. But I
could not get any informations about AIX3.2. Not get from IBM-Japan
neither.

What's difference between AIX3.1 and AIX3.2? I wanna get some
detail informations about commands, system calls, functions,
sybase, etc.

And How can I grade up to AIX3.2? How can you grade up smoothly?

#Sorry for my poor English.
