Looking for Primary SNA support for RS/6000

Looking for Primary SNA support for RS/6000

Post by John Plattn » Fri, 21 Dec 1990 05:32:53

Does anyone know of a package that will do Primary SNA support?

By Primary SNA support I mean the package will look like a host subarea node
(an NCP/VTAM PU type 4/5 node) performing a PU type 2.0 boundary function.
In other words, the package will look like an IBM mainframe host to downstream
SNA devices (as opposed to looking like an SNA device to an upstream host).

The package should be capable of supporting multiple SDLC links (lines). Token
ring and X.25 QLLC is not required (but would be nice). Each link should
support multiple PU's (multi-dropped links), and each PU should support
multiple LU's. The SSCP-PU session should support alerts; the LU-LU sessions
should support LU types 0,1,2 and 3. The PU support is PU type 2.0.

The package is needed for an IBM RISC System/6000 using AIX. Packages for
other boxes will be considered if an agreement for modifications can be worked
out.

This package must be re-licensable (or what-ever) for inclusion in a
commercially marketed software package.

Please reply via e-mail using the address below.

1. Wanted: Primary SNA support for RS/6000

This is a repost of a posting done in mid-December (just in case it
expired before a knowlegable person on vaction, holiday, etc read it. :-) ).
I did receive two replies, but am hoping for more.
