SSA disk Hotspare

SSA disk Hotspare

Hi,
I am trying to configure an 7133-600 SSA disk with 6*9.1 GB disk in one
loop under AIX 4.2.1.0, the  SSA bypass card is enable so that one loop
is formed within the disk. All seems to work ok except for the hotspare
option. When I configure the Hotspare its seems ok but when I fail one
disk in the array (by putting any one disk in Service mode) the hotspare
didn't takeover and array goes in to degraded state with notrebuilding
option. Is there any catch in it? Any hints or tips will be much
appreciated

Also when I run lppchk -v it gives a broken fileset name "bos.rte.cron
4.2.1.3."

Regards

Rizwan

Hi,
Today I just found out the answer, it was my fault, I  was overlooking the
SSA bypass card and puting 4 dummies in a row. Sorry for the basic Qs.
Thanks
