snmp programming

Hello,

I don't know if this is a FAQ, but here goes: I'm trying to use the AIX
SNMP API library in a C program to get certain info from a RS/6000. My
problem is three fold:

    1) The API routines are not resolved during compilation, I use library
options for snmp and isode (libsnmp.a libisode.a) while compiling
(as specified in the Communications Programming Concepts manual).

    2) I don't know what parameters all of the API calls take besides a few.

    3) The info I have is very CRYPTIC, and doesn't help much.

I would appreciate any helpfull info or a workable sample program using
at least one of the API calls. We are running AIX V3.1 and V3.2.

Thanks,
  Anton Opperman
