ya, i'm looking for cc too, our developer can't compile some of their
code with binary gcc but is able if the gcc is a source version. as i
know, to compile gcc we need cc to do so, so can someone help me on CC
only. Thanks!

grab the binary gcc from http://freeware.bull.net/
install it someplace unusual
download the source code for gcc from http://gcc.gnu.org/
compile it
install it someplace usual
remove the binary installed version
problem solved.

        Actually, take a look under www.bull.de's freeware/shareware
directory;  You can download images ready for installp.

(Well, actually they're .exe files, which, once downloaded,
will need to be exec'd which exposes the .bff images...)

I've got a pool of these in an NFS shared directory that is
linked (on each of my AIX boxes) as /aix.bull (I've got other
/aix.* names for other AIX-specific goodies).

1. FPC Setup "Free Pascal Compiler, I am at wit's end"

I wish to correctly setup my Free Pascal Compiler. The documentation refers
to a .ppc386.cfg file that sets the compiler options so that they do not
have to be typed every compile. I have tried everything to get it to run
from the file. I cannot even tell it it is reading the *&^* .cfg file or
not. Every thing works great if I specify the search paths on the command
line.

I am trying to join an Open Source team but I wan't my stuff to be right
before beginning.

BTW I am using bash.

I have even tried exporting the file paths in bash_profile this is not
working either.
