Depends which daemon you want to start but the
start point is: /etc/inittab

http://www.rs6000.ibm.com/doc_link/en_US/a_doc_lib/files/aixfiles/ini...

which starts rc.tcpip, rc.nfs, ... for each group of daemons.
PS: do not edit inittab directly.  Use lsitab, chitab, mkitab and
rmitab.
    See man for each.

The best way to start a daemon after system restart is to create an entry in
the /etc/inittab file.

If you dont want to add your daemon in /etc/inittab file you can use the
user auto start file. The /etc/mfg/rc.preload.

To verify, start or stop a daemon, you can use smit menu (Processes and
subsystems -> subsystems)

Good Luck,
