Last weekend we installed 20 new ssa adapters in our 4 s70's running AIX
4.3.1, but I can't configure them. I mis the folowing filesets

devices.pci.ssa
devices.pci.14109100
devices.pci.14105800
devices.pci.0c000c02

Does anybody know where to find them ?
I looked at the hursley side, and at the download side.

They come on CD's with the adapters...

Note that devices.pci.0c000c02 is not an existing fileset as far as I can
tell.  Anybody else seen this?  Cfgmgr will ask for a fileset of the form
devices.pci.<deviceid> where <deviceid> is a unique number for a type of
device that identifies itself on the bus as cfgmgr scans the bus.

In the case of 0c000c02, I had an F50 "asking" for this (I think it was that
number) fileset even though I could not find it anywhere.  I suspect it is
something like a PCI bridge that simply functions and doesn't need an OS
device driver for it to function properly.  Anyone?

Hello,
we have seen this where the RISC system does not have the latest
firmware to support the SSA adapters. This could be the problem in this
instance.

You can get the filesets from you AIX 4.3.1 CD. Also you can download
them and get the fixes while you are at it at:

Before you buy.

Hello,
you will find that the filesets do not exist (devices.pci.ssa and
devices.pci.0c000c02 at least). Please check the firmware on your s70 as
this has been a problem in the past where the old firmware does not
recognize the SSA adapters.
