dosdir,doswrite, and dosdir

Post by OFELIA MOREN » Tue, 07 Mar 2000 04:00:00

I have just install( AIX 4.3.3) (complete installation) and
was unpleasantly surpriced by the missing utilities

dosdir, dosread, and doswrite

Does any one know what has happened and is it
possible to simply copy them into the /usr/bin directory
from a system that has them (say one running aix v 3.2.5)?

Thanks

AIX 4.3.3 still has these utilities, you need to install the
bos.dosutil fileset.

The bos.dosutil should be on disk 2.

1. dosdir on ODT5

In ODT2, "dosdir c:zinc" did the same as "DIR C:ZINC" - it listed all
the files in the directory C:ZINC.  On my newly installed ODT5 it prints

Volume in drive /dev/hd0d is C
 Directory of /dev/hd0d:/zinc

ZINC         <DIR>    10-17-95   2:48p
        1 File(s)  540721152 bytes free

This is a bug, isn't it?  Where is the fix?
