Emulation ibm3151 on AIX 4.3.3 and 5.0 for a palm M505

With a standart cable hotsync, I can drive a RS/6000 in service
processor mode (no problem with "enter" in all menus)
But I can't log in at prompt. I type root and it seems the palm
doesn't send the "enter" to the risc

palm M505           DB9
15  (DTR)         6  (DSR)
10  (RD)          3  (TD)
14  (RTS)         8  (CTS)
11  (TD)          2  (RD)
13  (CTS)         7  (RTS)
7   (GND)         5  (GND)

Onebody tell me this to correct my problem :
1/ via rlogin modify console attributs by les commandes

>   # RUNMODES=?lsattr -F value -l <ttyname> -a runmodes -E?
>   # chdev -l <ttyname> -a runmodes=${RUNMODES},clocal

Does anybody know how to build a cable M505-DB9 to directly drive a
rs/6000 on S1 port?

Thank you

Your original cable only needs one more pin wired on the S1 DB9 end.

DTR Pin 15 on the M505-DB9 end needs to be connected to both pin 6 (DSR)
and pin 1 (DCD) on the S1-DB9 connector.

1. PDA Sync & Palm m505

Hi.

Could you give me tips to successully launch sdtpdasync ?
Follows is what I always get.
I use Sol8_x86, updated using the latest patches available at sunsolve.
I connect my m505 with USB (dynamic recognition ?).
Thanks a lot in advance.
