cpio Can't Follow Symbolic Links?

On SVR4 the -L option for cpio tells cpio to follow symbolic links.
It doesn't appear that AIX cpio has this option. Is there a way
to get AIX cpio to follow symbolic links?

1. Q: find command does not follow symbolic links unless you specify -follow ?

I stumbled on this quirk on solaris. Under Digital UNIX, the find
command automatically follows symbolic links. Is there other "tricks"
related to symlinks on solaris that do not behave like Digital Unix ?
