Do you happen to have that font installed ?
Ususally it is CDE dependent.
Try listing all the known fonts with 'xlsfonts'
Try forcing xwpe to use another font
Try forcing that font to pick its description from a known font
using font.alias files.
Check font directories / Font Path: xset q
Check Font Server, if any.
