I believe I speak for everyone here.

Please stop spamming this newsgroup.  We are here for technical discussions, not
jobs.

Thank you.

I have in the past hired an excellent candidant from a posting, so you
don't speak for everyone who reads the group.

I am not spamming. Local and national classified ads in newspapers have
not yielded qalified candidates. Previous experience with newsgroup
postings have yielded successful results. I target groups where I may find
candidates who will fit well in my company, though co.jobs and misc.jobs
haven't yielded much yet. Perhaps I should just drop them and leave my
postings in comp.unix.aix?

There used to be an AIX jobs group but I can't find it any more at Netcom.
The recent want-ads I've placed in this group have already yielded two
promising candidates.  If you can tell me a better place where I could
find candidates with AIX experience I sure would appreciate it!

Quote:> Thank you.

You're welcome.

I'll grant you that.

I count 10 postings within the last two weeks.  Some duplicate and all with
regards to the same jobs.  When I see several consecutive job postings from a
single induhvidual, I deem that spam.  Especially having already seen them so
recently.  This was/is my contention.  Perhaps I'm being too strict...?

Occasional postings are tolerated, but discretion should be used.

I would enjoy finding that group, as well.

Good for you.  There are many outstanding AIX folks here in this group.

That is a good point.  I believe that http://www.veryComputer.com/ will yield some
positive results for you.  There are several other sites that deal solely with
technical professionals.  Try posting at http://www.veryComputer.com/
Yahoo and others provide classified ads, as well.  Try a refined search on
AIX.  These are but a few and I do hope they help you.

I really don't think you mean that.  My reply was not meant to slam you, but
merely to point out your excessive postings.  `Nuff said.  Good luck with your
search, Michael.

Thanks for your assistance. In future job searches I will try these sites
before posting here. I'm sorry about the duplicate post, I never did see
the originals appear at Netcom but they got out somehow!

Thanks again, you've been a great help!

I am getting AIX job offerings regularily into my mailbox. What I
am wondering about if these folks would pay the relocation to the
US? Probably they believe a .de address is located in Delaware. :-)
