Distributed CICS (formerly CICS/6000)???

Hi Folks:

I heard a rumor that IBM is dropping support for Distributed CICS,
but I have not seen it in any headlines; nor could I find any
mention of that in IBM web pages at ->
http://www.software.ibm.com/ts/cics/products/

Has anyone else heard rumblings about this, or is it all FUD?

Thanks,
Wayne

Distributed CICS (formerly CICS/6000)???

This might just be part of the fact that it is being bundled into a
different package name.  It is now part of the WebSphere package, along
with DCE, Encina and MQ (I seem to remember)
Used to be TXSeries, but is now going to be called WebSphere.  There are
to be three editions, the Enterprise edition is the one that includes
CICS and Encina.

1. Configuring AIX & CICS/6000 for UTF-8 (For Arabic Support)

Hi,
I would like to know what is the configuration setup needed for AIX
(ver 4.3)and CICS (TXSeries 4.2) to support UTF-8.

CICS is configured to run using SFS server (encina 4.3.0.1) as the
file server in RPC (DCE 3.1 is configured for RPC only) only mode.

I use QVT/Term Terminal Application for working with AIX. I would like
to know what setup is needed to view Arabic data (asis).

Thanks in Advance,
Krishna
