Sorry for posting here...couldn't find anywhere else that made sense.
We have an old RS/6000 machine we don't need any more, which we want to
sell to the highest bidder. We'll take any bid--so just make an offer no
matter how ridiculous. The original IBM model is 7012, and it has eight
SIMMs, each with 20: OKI M514256A-80J memory chips. It has two SCSI disk
drives, and comes with a model 7207 1/4" cartridge tape drive. Also
included are a 2980 Ethernet adapter and 2955 16 port async adapter (with
no cable assembly for the 16-port board). The unit does not include a
monitor.
The bad news is that it won't load AIX onto disk, and we don't want to
spend the time figuring out why. (It will boot from the tape, but the
loading process hangs for an unknown reason.) We can only accept credit
card payment (Visa, MC, AMEX), since we've been burned with CODs on things
like this in the past.
If you want to bid, please send me email. At 8:00am CST on Wednesday,
November 13th I will close bidding, and notify the winner. Then we can
communicate about shipping address, credit card number, etc.
If you have any questions, please email or call me.
Thanks for your interest!
Jeff
