HELP: Please tell me there's an undelete command!

Post by Matt » Tue, 13 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi All,

I was wondering/hoping/praying that there is an AIX undelete command?
I have obviously deleted some important files and would like to turn that
around...

Any help is greatly appreciated

Matt

To undelete files in AIX, restore from backup

You can restore individual files from the mksysb backup if they were on
a file system within rootvg.  Smit will take you through this.

I hope this is more helpfull

1. 'last' command does not tell the truth

Hi..

Sample output of 'last':

rte       ttyS2        19200/ARQ/V42b   Wed Oct 25 09:45   still logged in
rte       ttyS2        19200/ARQ/V42b   Wed Oct 25 09:42 - 09:45  (00:03)

Problem: User 'rte' was logged on only ONCE not twice and 'still logged in'
is also not correct.

How could I fix that?

Please reply by MAIL, I'll summarize.

Jan
