New list of PTFs for AIX 3.2 available

The list of PTFs for AIX 3.2 as of 12/21/92 is now available for
anonymous ftp from:
        ibminet.awdpa.ibm.com (192.35.233.1)
in the pub/ptfs directory.

This file contains a list of currently orderable PTFs with PTF number,
APAR number, the LPP name it affects and a short one-line description.

Updates to the list will occur approximately once every two weeks.

The ideal setup for this would be a gopher server with a WAIS-indexed
copy of the output you get from "installp -q -d /dev/rmt0.1 -A all".

A single line of info about each PTF is woefully inadequate.  Having all
the data in a single file is inconvenient.

PLEASE DO THIS.  IT'S NOT DIFFICULT.  I WILL HELP IF YOU WANT.

I would do it myself with the listings I have from my own private PTF
collection, but I'm not sure if I would get in trouble from Copyright
infringement.

The most recent list of AIX 3.2 PTFs as of 93/03/29 is available for
anonymous ftp from ibminet.awdpa.ibm.com (192.35.233.1) in the
directory put/ptfs.

A new tool is available for searching the list of PTFs and APARs for
information: ptfinfo.sh.  See the README file for more information.

Also available on ibminet are the IBM Guide to Third Party Hardware for
the Risc System/6000 and the list of New Product announcements.

Internal IBMers can find this package as the PTFLIST package on the
AIXTOOLS disk.
