Changing printer address

Post by jasper2 » Thu, 17 May 2001 23:02:50

Can someone asssit me. I have switched subnets on our network. I have
already configured our HP printers with new IP address and went good.

However I am unsure where to change the address that our AIX box looks to
find the printer.

Try checking /etc/hosts

If you used the hostname of the printer when you set up the queue (see
/etc/qconfig) then you need only change the IP address that hostname refers
to (/etc/hosts unless you use another means for name resolution)
