I was asked about AIX version 5 at work and I was wondering when it's
relese date is, or anything anyone can tell me about it.

AIX 5 will be the 'official' release of the AIX portion of the Monerey
project. Simultaneous release of IA-64 and PPC/RS-64 code sets.
JFS2 will be in AIX 5. Other goodies.

The three PTFs are:

APAR IY16704: VISUALAGE C++ 5.0.0.5 RUNTIME PTF
APAR IY16530: C for AIX 5.0.1.2 PTF

and use the AIX Fix Distribution Service.
