April 9 1999 issue

Post by pikach » Thu, 15 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I have a machine running with R40 and AIX414.

It crashed in 4/9/1999 (99099) and then reboot.
But after reboot, the date changed to 7/18/99 (99199).

Is it a y2k problem?
Anyone got the same experience?

Stephan Somogyi has written a rather positive article about Unixish
alternatives (LinuxPPC, Mac OS X, MkLinux) and supplements (MachTen)
for the Macintosh.  Check it out...
