Getting Logged Out From X/dtsession (need help)

  Hello people,

  OS:           AIX 4.?
  System:       RISC 6000
  Environment:  dtsession (windows login)

Beef:         For apparantly not reason at all, I am getting logged out
of my dtsession while I am in the middle of working.  This
has happened only twice today and there have been no prior
                occurances of this problem.

In each case, I lost a half-hour of good work (you get on
a roll and forget to save sometimes).  There is an error
in my home directory in the ~/.dt/errorlog.old (file from
previous session) and ~/.dt/errorlog.older (file from
                session before previous).

or keyboard grabbed.

Workspace Manager: I/O error on display:: :0.0

Thu Jan 16 13:40:27 1997
dtsession: Connection to server lost - exiting.
----------
end error from errorlog.old
----------

----------
begin error from errolog.older
----------

Workspace Manager: Unable to read bitmap file Dtxterm.l

dtsession: Connection to server lost - exiting.

end error from errolog.older

I don't feel the "Unable to read bitmap file Dtxterm.l" is related, and
I don't know which directory it's trying to read that file from or for what
reason.

My main problem is, I don't know what to check on this system to begin
narrowing down the possibilities of what is causing this problem.  I would
really appreciate any and all assistance toward this end.

  Thanks in advance.  :)

1. Need Help about the dtsession

Dear,

I have a sun R250 server & installed the Solaris 9 OE. That server is
service my company around 6 months.

In the last week, after I reboot the server then I cannot login in CDE.
Session almost starts and then the login screen reappears.

CDE Error displayed in a pop-up window:

?dtsession: Unable to start message server ?V exitin?

DT messaging system could not be started.

To correct the problem

1- chose Ok to return to the login screen

2- select failsafe session from the login screen's option menu and login.

3- Check to see that the host name is correct in these locations

/etc/src.sh

/etc/hosts

/usr/adm/inet.sec

For additional information see the DT users guide.

I also follow the procedure to solve the problem but no successful, the
hosts name is correct & the 3 files are not found in the system. The .dt
folder permission is set to root

Anyone can tell me the solution to solve this error.

thanks

Joey
