1) You could use bvi to edit the binary string.

however, control/space is more likely to generate a null (though keyboard
configuration may interfere with that). To test, try simply running 'cat',
and press control/V before the control/space, to see if it does echo.
I would like to know if there is any script available to generate
a list of system generated password.
