I want to install GNU gcc up on my RS6000 running AIX 4.2.
But, until now it's hard to find it's binary.
Does anyone could help me?

i had the same problem
nop there are only binaries for AIX 4.1 :-(Quote:> www-frec.bull.com

it should work on AIX 4.2 ( i hope for you )

I am looking for a place to get a binary copy of gcc 2.8.1 for AIX 4.2.
I need the SMIT-installable lpp package, like the one that BULL used
to provide until IBM obsoleted AIX 4.2.
Please don't bother to tell me about later versions of gcc or AIX, I
already know that and have them. But if you can tell me where to get
that package, thanks a MILLION.
