One 3580 Ultrium Tape on two 6H0

Hi there !

I try to attache one Ultrium 3580 on two 6H0.

When I attach this device separately to the 6H0 it is working fine. I
can tar all my files I need to backup. (So I am using the right
terminator and not the scsi wrap)

I tried many combinations, with a Y-Scsi Cable and I tried to attach
the 6H0 on each port of the 3580. But this is not working.

Does anyone have a conclusion ?
Am I missing something ? Is it possible to attach one external device
to both 6H0 ?

This should work as long as you only use 1 at a time!

Check that each adapter has a different SCSI ID. Command like:

   lsattr -El scsi2

Make sure that you have two and only two terminators at ends
of cable.

Of course we don't have a concurrent access to the 3580.

Each adapter must have a different SCSI-ID ?

It is all the same, do I have to change the SCSI-ID form the adapter ?

The 3580 is defined on Id 2,0 on both systems.
