In general you can't (unless you're using HP's jetadmin, forms or
similar) - look for enscript, it provides the functionality you're
looking for.

Could any one tell me if there's an easy way to do this? I'm
wanting something *like* :
pr -oddpages bigFile
# ( person re-feeds output to input of printer)
pr -evenpages bigFile
Would a shell/awk/perl script be suggested here?
