Good Unix Magazine(s)?

Good Unix Magazine(s)?

Post by Bill Loom » Wed, 21 Sep 1994 08:55:46

Greetings.  Can anyone recommend to me a good magazine or two that
would be good reading as to the fine points of System V UNIX (or other
basics about other flavors of UNIX).  I am more interested in reading
about UNIX shells, shell programming, UNIX functioning, etc . . .

Any suggestions or advice would really be appreciated by the undersigned.

I really like UNIX World's Open Computing.  It doesn't take itself too
   seriously ;)

I used to like Unix World.  I think they've gone seriously downhill since
they changed their name and format.  They used to have good Unix columns,
now they are just another PC magazine with some Unix stuff thrown in.
