RAW format image viewer

RAW format image viewer

Post by Nicholas Bow » Thu, 16 Nov 1995 04:00:00

Hi

I have a 4 channel (interleaved by bit I think its called) image from a
multispectral CCD video camera,  i.e 4 colours (written as single bytes)
in the form:

   2nd pixel
    v
123412341234 etc. across the image.
^
1st pixel

Being a physicist and not knowing a great deal about how to write to
common image formats (I've tried targa but not without problems) I've
just decided to try an image package with RAW format options so I can
specifiy header size, #channels interleved etc.

Does anyone know of such a viewer to run on the Indi Silicon Graphics we
have here?  I think it runs UNIX 5.2 or 5.3...or something.

Thanks

1. About ximage (raw image viewer)

Keyword

Image procesing people might have some idea about where I can find the
executable binary of the raw image viewer "ximage". I tried to get the
binary which was compiled for the sun machies under unix, but it did not
work under linux that I have installed to my IBM compatible PC. Any idea?
