Playing an audio file, when new mail arrives..

 Hello Unix Gurus,

I am using xbiff and xpbiff as my mailer under XWindows. I want to know
how do you make xbiff/xpbiff play an audio file (.au file), each time
a new mail arrives. I have the sound files with me. Although it's an
inbuilt feature in xbiff++, I donot want to recompile xbiff++.

 Please send me mail directly.

 Thanks

 Ananda

1. Play Sound When New Mail Arrives

I am currently running Redhat 7.3, and the latest build of Ximian
Desktop, with Evolution as my mail client.  I would like to change the
default sound for when new mail arrives.  I did go into the gnome control
center and used the sound option to change it there, but whenever new
mail arrives it still plays the same sound.

Is there someplace else I need to look to make the changes effective
under Evolution.
