Which Unix fits my needs?

Which Unix fits my needs?

I'm in need of a machine to provide domain name service for a small
network of various machines using TCP/IP.  Since I may also want to run
other services (NNTP, POP, FTP, WAIS, gopher servers) for this network, I
figured it would be best to get an inexpensive 486 and go straight to
Unix.  Now, my question is which Unix to use?  I'm looking for something
to run on a 386/486 PC, but I'm willing to look at other hardware
platforms as long as the cost isn't too bad (under $2000).

Any recommendations/info/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks..

hmm, Linux, or Net/Free BSD would likely be your best bet.
