How do I get my disk drive to read DOS formatted disks?

I am having problems with my 3 1/2' floppy drive.

I am at home with my SPARCstation 2 (Solaris 2.5.1) logging in via ISDN.
Before being configured for ISDN, my floppy drive worked, but now I
seem to get it to read diskettes (UNIX or DOS).

My particular need is to have it read DOS formatted disks so that I
can install Windows 3.1 for WABI 2.2.

Here is my /etc/vfstab file:

cocacola:/mnt/home/thekid 1 % more /etc/vfstab
#device                 device                  mount           FS      fsck    mount   mount
#to mount               to fsck                 point           type    pass    atboot  options
fd                      -                       /dev/fd         fd      -       no      -
/proc                   -                       /proc           proc    -       no      -
/dev/diskette           -                       /pcfs           pcfs    -       no      rw
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s1       -                       -               swap    -       no      -
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0       /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s0      /               ufs     1       no      -
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s7       /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s7      /mnt/home       ufs     2       yes     -
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s2       /dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s2      /home1          ufs     1       yes     -
/dev/dsk/c0t2d0s0       /dev/rdsk/c0t2d0s0      /home2          ufs     1       yes     -
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0       -                       /cdrom          hsfs    -       no      ro
swap                    -                       /tmp            tmpfs   -       yes     -
cocacola:/mnt/home/thekid 2 %

I have these directories:

Here is my /etc/vold.conf file:

cocacola:/mnt/home/thekid 2 % more /etc/vold.conf

# Volume Daemon Configuration file

# Database to use (must be first)

# Labels supported
label dos floppy pcmem
label cdrom cdrom
label sun floppy pcmem

# Devices to use
use cdrom drive /dev/rdsk/c*s2 cdrom%d
use floppy drive /dev/rdiskette[0-9] floppy%d
use pcmem drive /dev/rdsk/c*s2 pcmem%d forceload=true

# Actions

insert dev/dsk/* user=root /usr/sbin/rmmount
eject dev/diskette[0-9]/* user=root /usr/sbin/rmmount
eject dev/dsk/* user=root /usr/sbin/rmmount
notify rdsk/* group=tty user=root /usr/lib/vold/volmissing -p

# List of file system types unsafe to eject
unsafe ufs hsfs pcfs
cocacola:/mnt/home/thekid 3 %

Any help, in letting me know what I need to do, would be great.
