Hi
I there a way to hide the standard input for the "read"
command.  In the following example, I want to echo ***'s
instead of the original value typed.

        echo "Please enter password \c"
        read mypasswd

Thanks in advance

1. at command: "Standard input not a tty line"?

Hello

If I try to execute following command as root, it is not executed.
Instead, I get a mail message telling me "Standard input not a tty line":

at now
/usr/sbin/init 6
^d

I usually do not work connected directly at the console but via the
network connection. This problem seems to be specially related to the
init command.

Any hint?

Thanks
Rick
