How do you slim down SunOS 4.1.1?

I need to free some hard disk space on my Sparc SLC, running SunOS 4.1.1.  I
figure that there are a lot of system files that I will never need, and I was
hoping some people might give me some suggestions of what to delete.  We
basically have a 4-Sparc network which is not connected to the internet.  We
run OpenWindows (not Sunview, which is currently installed).  We also do not
use the SunOS accounting system.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you're not running RFS and don't think you ever will (probably
only if yer gonna get some AT&T stuff hooked up), you can blow away:
        /usr/bin/adv            /usr/bin/dname
        /usr/bin/dorfs          /usr/bin/fumount
        /usr/bin/fusage         /usr/bin/idload
        /usr/bin/nlsadmin       /usr/bin/nsquery
        /usr/bin/rfadmin        /usr/bin/rfpasswd
        /usr/bin/rfstart        /usr/bin/rfstop
        /usr/bin/rfuadmin       /usr/bin/rfudaemon
        /usr/bin/rmntstat       /usr/bin/unadv
        /usr/lib/libnls.a

And if you never use plot, you can wipe out:

        /usr/bin/aedplot        /usr/bin/atoplot
        /usr/bin/bgplot         /usr/bin/crtplot
        /usr/bin/dumbplot       /usr/bin/gigiplot
        /usr/bin/hp7221plot     /usr/bin/hpplot
        /usr/bin/implot         /usr/bin/plot
        /usr/bin/plottoa        /usr/bin/vplot
        /usr/lib/lib[34]*       /usr/lib/libf77pl*
        /usr/lib/libplo*.a      /usr/lib/libvt0.a
        /usr/lib/vfont          /usr/lib/vgrind

If you're sure you're gonna stick with OpenWindows, get rid of
/usr/bin/sunview1 on down.  Then, if you'll consider using X11R4
instead of OpenWindows, you can immediately gain about 10Mb in the
transition (OW has a few zillion fonts it never even uses) just by
blowing away the 25Mb OW dir (this is w/o examples etc) and putting on
the 15Mb X11 set.  If you do, you can also get rid of
/usr/lib/libsuntool* [not libsunwindow*, it will need those],
/usr/lib/libxgl*, /usr/lib/xglfonts, /usr/lib/fonts, /usr/lib/font,
and /usr/lib/fontinfo.

Oh, if you don't mind waiting every once in a while, you can clean out
any formatted man pages in /usr/man/cat[1-8ln].

/usr/src/sun can go away...

There, that should clean some room out. :)
