Internet Address Lookup Question

Internet Address Lookup Question

Post by Tushar Sh » Mon, 21 Jan 1991 12:36:29

Is there a way of locating someone's internet address with some basic
information about the internet site they are at.  For example if I now
that someone's address is malaria and they are at the Washington
University Medical School (wums) how could I look up their address.

Thanks in advance.

1. Mapping ethernet address to internet address

How do I map an ethernet address to an internet address within a
   program ?

Any pointers or hints would be greatly appreciated. FYI: I have
already looked through the source code to arp, without being able
to find what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm missing something.

      Thanks,
