My name is Nick and When I log on the news server on my ISP I sometime
get bad overview record and a whole page or more of what it seeems to be
a list of news groups. It usually happens when the group has quite a
number of news messages. (like 500- and up). When I highlight the news
group I get this bad overview record.  i use tin as my news program.

Any help will be appreciated.

tin does not behave well when it encounters massively cross-posted
(ie. spam) articles...

1. News server Question

I am in the process of planning a linux server installation at work.

I'd like to set up a news server for the people on the LAN that would
supply 15-20 newsgroups (all work related and without graphics).  I
would like the server to connect to an ISP on a daily basis (at 2am) and
download all of the new newsgroup posts and then serve them to the
people on the LAN.

Is it possible for the news server or some other process to do this, and
preferably look like a single-user client to the ISP?
