I have just recompiled my kernel and after I did I cannot ping the IP
Address im my network card ed1, has anyone else had this kind of a
problem or can anyone suggest a solution?

Is it possible that you forgot to include support for your NIC via in the
kernel or as a module?

1. "no route to host" when pinging my NIC

3. Strange network problems - pings to host are fine, pings from host fail
4. Could someone please explain.
5. Can't ping the host name or host IP address from host.
7. can't ping host or host IP from host ?
8. Installt unstable libc6 "by mistake" NOW: ldconfig is missing
9. ping/dhcp: no route to host
10. can't ping b/t machines, no route to host
11. 2nd nic can't ping route table messed double entry
12. Ping says "No route to host"
13. ping: sendto: No route to host.
