Set 8-bit on SUN outgoing serial port

Post by Michael L » Thu, 15 Aug 1991 05:44:01

I like uucp to dial out from the SUN serial port using 8-bit characters.
Somebody in the past has suggested to run a background job that uses
sleep and stty.  Can somebody email me the information?  Many thanks.

You do NOT need to do this - UUCP already sets the serial port to 8
bits.  "g" protocol needs 8 bits, so uucp does it itself.
